Cumberland Pediatric Foundation partnered with Shared Health at the end of 2008 to create a pay for performance program offered exclusively to Cumberland Pediatric Foundation members.  Shared Excellence is a health information technology (HIT) incentive adoption program designed to improve healthcare outcomes for children. 

Shared Excellence rewards our members for high achievement of agreed upon targets and goals.  The 2009 Program was a success, with 270 physician participants and a projected payout to practices of $725,000.
