Meet Our Team!

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation (CPF) was chartered as a public not-for-profit company in August of 1994 and began operations in February of 1995.

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation is organized exclusively for scientific, charitable and educational purposes. Cumberland Pediatric Foundation’s mission and purpose is to promote the health care of children of the Cumberland Region by improving the quality, increasing the efficiency, and lowering the cost of the delivery of pediatric health care services in the region. The Cumberland Pediatric Foundation board of directors consists of 4 Vanderbilt representatives and 4 community representatives.

Cumberland Pediatric Foundation improves communication among the providers of health care for children. It develops "best practice" guidelines for providing and documenting the quality of pediatric care, provides professional pediatric education through the provision of teaching services to medical students and residents in private practice settings, and the sponsorship of contemporary practice seminars.

The direction of the Cumberland Pediatric Foundation is to continue to develop educational opportunities to meet regional needs as they arise, and provide liaison activities between members representing community child health care, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and other health care providers as needed.
